1. Reach-out to different agencies
- Reach out to and make regular visits to I/NGOs/Civil society organizations/Government offices for the effective coordination on volunteer engagement throughout Nepal.
- Conduct an orientation program to let the agencies know about NVP program and the use of NVP app and interactive website to request for volunteers.
- Regularly check the inquiry from agencies for information or volunteer request and do necessary follow-up. Report to HCI staffs about the reach-out progress on a weekly basis.
2. Volunteer reach-out and volunteer servicing
- Develop and maintain a standard process for welcoming volunteers at HCI premises, and providing them with basic information about NVP. Write and respond to volunteers/potential volunteers’ queries promptly and respectfully.
- Conduct orientation program regularly at HCI, Schools, Colleges, Private organizations and public locations to let more people know about the volunteering opportunities available at NVP platform.
- Provide merchandise and information on trainings or any other opportunities to the volunteers and maintain all necessary documentation.
3. Deployment of volunteers
- With the help of NVP app information and as per the agreement with the client organization, make a standard process for deploying volunteers in different projects throughout the Nation.
- Maintain volunteers in ‘Relief’, ‘Rehabilitation’ and ‘Reconstruction’ and sustainability efforts regularly and effectively throughout the Nation with the coordination of District Coordinators.
- Work with UN agencies, I/NGOS, Governmental as well as Community organizations to effectively assign and deploy volunteers for different volunteering works throughout the Nation as per the requirements of HCI as well as other agencies.
- Keep a proper record of the volunteering hours and provide volunteers with certificates upon completion of their work
4. Provide a project completion report on volunteer engagement to the agencies after completion of the project
5. Monitor and report back on the volunteer engagement activities on a monthly basis internally as well as to relevant stakeholders
6. Keep the volunteering database up to date by entering all data on a regular basis.
7. Any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
