Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Wordpress Backend Developer (Mid-Level) located in Kathmandu. As a Wordpress Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend functionality of Wordpress websites. This includes implementing custom features, optimizing performance, and ensuring code quality and security.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Wordpress development and customization
• Solid understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of web development best practices and standards
• Create reusable code and libraries to simplify future developments
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Collaborate with in-house digital team to gather and understand project specifications and requirements
• Collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality output and execute bug fixes
• Create, review and update technical documentation
• Actively participate and contribute ideas that help continuously drive improvement in architecture, process and culture
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Experience working with themes, plugins, and APIs in Wordpress
