Job Position: Mid-Web Developer (WordPress)

Location: Anamnagar, Kathmandu, Nepal

Essential Skills:

• WordPress Proficiency: Extensive experience in building and customizing WordPress websites.
• PHP & MySQL Expertise: Strong understanding of PHP for back-end development and MySQL for database management.
• WordPress Themes & Plugins: Ability to develop, customize, and manage WordPress themes and plugins.
• HTML, CSS & JavaScript: Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for responsive, cross-browser compatible websites.
• Page Builders & Frameworks: Expertise in popular WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and frameworks (e.g., Genesis, Bootstrap).
• API Integration: Proficiency in integrating third-party APIs with WordPress websites.
• Security & Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing website performance (speed, SEO) and implementing security best practices.
• Version Control: Experience with Git for managing code.
• Cross-Browser & Device Testing: Ability to ensure websites are responsive and functional across different browsers and devices.
• Website Maintenance: Experience in maintaining, updating, and improving WordPress websites, including backups and security patches.
• Debugging & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify and fix technical issues on WordPress websites.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with designers, project managers, and clients.
• Agile Development: Experience with agile methodologies for project management and development workflows.

Desirable Skills:

• WooCommerce Experience: Experience in developing eCommerce websites using WooCommerce, including customizations and payment gateway integrations.
• Multisite & Multi-language WordPress Sites: Familiarity with WordPress multisite installations and multilingual website management (WPML, Polylang).
• SEO Best Practices: Understanding of on-page SEO and optimization techniques.
• UI/UX Design Knowledge: Ability to design user-friendly interfaces and ensure good user experience.
• Custom Post Types & Taxonomies: Expertise in creating and managing custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields in WordPress.
• API & Webhook Integration: Familiarity with integrating REST APIs and webhooks in WordPress projects.
• Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket: Knowledge of collaborating on repositories using platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket.
