Job Description

Job Location: WVI-NER Rural Districts – Dolakha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Gorkha & Sindhupalchowk (One of the Districts)
Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the high quality implementation of WASH program in the district level, through proper planning, coordination, and supervision
  • Oversight and management of WASH program activities in the district level
  • Ensure that NGO partners and community are supported to understand and implement WASH related activities at the District level, and oversee mitigation of implementation issues
  • Undertake extensive field visits and support the implementing partners to complete WASH activities
  • Participate in external relationship at the district level
  • Participate in representing World Vision in WASH cluster and technical working group, particularly at the district level
  • Monitor construction expenses according to bill of quantity, project budget and World Vision financial procedure

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s)  in Civil engineering/ water supply and sanitation engineering, or related subject with at least three years’ experience in design construction and in rural or decentralized water and sanitation infrastructures or related field with I/NGO in emergency context
  • Familiar with water and sanitation in recovery and rehabilitation phase
  • Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
  • Thorough knowledge of MS office and Lotus Notes
  • Experience in rural or decentralized water and sanitation infrastructures at least 3 years
  • 5 years’ experience in NGO work
  • Must be willing and able to travel nationally up to 40% of the time
