Job Overview:

As the Vendor Manager for the Baby Care category, is responsible for overseeing the entire range of baby products within our organization. This role involves managing vendor relationships, developing and implementing product strategies, and driving sales growth within the baby care category. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the baby products market, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for providing the best products for infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Sourcing and Evaluation:

  • Identify and source potential vendors and suppliers for the Baby Care category to expand product offerings and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, product quality, and compliance with company standards to ensure alignment with our brand and customer expectations.

Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for all category-related matters.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews to monitor performance metrics, resolve issues, and foster continuous improvement.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor category performance, sales trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly.
  • Provide detailed reports and insights to senior management, identifying opportunities and challenges in the Baby category.

Marketing & Promotion:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns that highlight key baby products and seasonal trends.
  • Plan and implement promotional offers and discounts to attract customers and boost sales.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotions, making adjustments as needed to maximize ROI.

Customer Focus:

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine product offerings and improve the overall shopping experience.
  • Ensure that the product range meets the needs and expectations of parents and caregivers.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all products within the category meet quality and safety standards, complying with relevant regulations and certifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and checks to maintain high product quality and consumer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in vendor management, category management, or related roles within the Baby Care industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing vendor relationships and driving category growth.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences in the Baby products category.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences in the Baby Care category.
