Position: Unit Head/Expert – Ncell App
Department: Digital Channels and Experience

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the overall strategy for the Super App, focusing on user growth, engagement, and monetization.
  • Be responsible for the complete end-to-end app management and product roadmap.
  • Lead the entire app product lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to development, testing, and deployment.
  • Define, document, and manage end-to-end requirements and work closely with IT teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Drive aggressive user acquisition and retention strategies. Identify and execute opportunities to increase digital revenue through various monetization models.
  • Lead the UX strategy across all modules of the Super App, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and delight across every user touchpoint.
  • Oversee user research, usability testing, and persona development to inform design decisions and prioritize features based on user needs.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with business goals and user expectations
  • Utilize digital analytics tools to track progress, generate insights, and provide regular, comprehensive reports to senior management.
  • Apply principles of process improvement methodologies like Six Sigma to optimize app performance and user journeys.
  • Use tools like SQL and Python to extract and analyze data and leverage automation tools to streamline reporting processes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business, IT, and other internal teams.
  • Work closely with fintech partners and digital wallets to integrate new services and enhance app functionality.
  • Guide and mentor a team focused on app operations, growth, and product development, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
  • Ensure UX best practices are embedded in cross-functional workflows, including product development, QA, and customer support.
  • Lead accessibility and localization efforts to ensure the app is inclusive and optimized for diverse user segments.
  • Lead the integration and development of OTT streaming services within the Super App, including video streaming, live TV, and content-on-demand.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to build or scale OTT platforms, ensuring high performance, content security, and user engagement.

Required Skills & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree will be preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior role managing a mobile app with a large user base, preferably within the telecom or fintech/digital wallet industries, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in UX research, design thinking, and service design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and journey mapping platforms
  • Experience in managing or integrating OTT streaming platforms, with specific knowledge of the challenges and opportunities within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience in mobile app development (iOS and/or Android).
  • A deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and querying languages like SQL is required. Experience with Python for data analysis and automation is highly desirable.
  • The candidate must be able to speak the language of developers, understand technical dependencies, assess resource requirements, and effectively manage project timelines.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, API integration, and cloud services is highly desirable.
  • Strong, verifiable history of increasing user growth and adoption for a digital product or app.
  • Demonstrated success in increasing digital revenue through various app monetization strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the entire app development lifecycle and a strong background in product management.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and effectively collaborate with IT and development teams.
  • A strong background in data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
  • The candidate must be proficient in various analytics and reporting tools. A forward-thinking leader who can see beyond the current state and develop a clear vision for the app's future.
  • Experience in building Super Apps or multi-service platforms with integrated fintech, OTT, and lifestyle services is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), localization frameworks, and multi-language UX optimization.
