Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a Transmission Site Engineer to supervise and manage on-site construction activities for transmission line projects up to 220 kV. The role involves ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely execution of works including foundations, tower erection, conductor stringing, and OPGW installation in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise transmission line construction activities, including excavation, stub setting, tower foundation casting, tower erection, conductor stringing, and OPGW installation.
Oversee all field construction works to ensure safe and efficient execution in accordance with approved methods and drawings.
Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with approved design drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Verify foundation leveling, tower alignment, bolt tightening, and sag measurements during conductor stringing.
Maintain accurate daily and weekly site logs, including work progress and site activities.
Update Management Information System (MIS) reports on a regular basis.
Report construction progress, quality issues, and site challenges to the Project Manager.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Relevant experience in transmission line construction projects up to 220 kV.
Practical knowledge of foundations, tower erection, conductor stringing, and OPGW works.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong site supervision and coordination skills.
Knowledge of quality control procedures for transmission line works.
Good reporting and documentation skills.
