ROLE PURPOSE:

Under the direct supervision of Project Manager- Global Fund and guidance of the relevant government staff at NTC, the Training Coordinator will be responsible to plan, implement and evaluation of all training activities to be carried-out by NTC. He/she will be also responsible for training need assessment, preparation of annual training plan, and rollout of training activities and proper documentation of training related activities to meet the Global Fund requirements.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Take lead in training need assessment and development of annual training plan of NTC.
- Prepare detailed rollout plan of training activities as per the approved training plan and ensure timely completion of all training activities.
- Ensure quality implementation of all training activities as per the approved training plan and monitoring of training activities to be conducted at regional, district and below district level following national curriculum/guidelines.
- Assist NTC in developing training curriculum, manuals, modules and materials as per the country need.
- Facilitate relevant training sessions and arrange quality trainers/facilitators for trainings are organized by NTC.
- Organize and conduct clinical training on tuberculosis and DR tuberculosis.
- Assist NTP for preparation of training proposals and communicating training related other documents to the concerned authorities.
- Prepare and submit periodic training related reports as required.
- Establish and maintain close coordination and cooperation with concerned NTP staff, other government and non-government organizations for planning, implementation and monitoring of training activities.
- Plan and develop TB trainers at regional and district level.
- To ensure cost effectiveness during planning and implementation of training activities.
- Perform other duties as requested by Project Manager and NTP Director.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education
- BPH or MBBS (MPH preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing and conducting health related trainings.
Skills
- Excellent skill of computer programs (including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, e-mail and internet)
- Excellent written and spoken English and Nepali
- Excellent report writing in English and Nepali
- Experience of organizing training
