The incumbent will work closely with the Resource Development (RD) and Communication Team at Habitat Nepal and will support the execution of Habitat’s overall communication strategy and plan. Working closely with the Communications unit, s/he will support the unit through the scope of work described below.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of Habitat Nepal’s communications plan and lead visibility efforts ensuring compliance with Habitat Nepal and Donor visibility guidelines. 
  • Support production of collaterals such as flyers, brochures, infographics etc. using Adobe Creative Suite to create cohesive and attractive designs.
  • Support development of attractive presentations and formatting of reports ensuring cohesion and consistency ensuring the highest standards. 
  • Support documentary photography and videography for assigned projects. 
  • Maintain and update vendor lists, and support department procurement processes. 
  • Maintain and update department archive ensuring all relevant information is upto date. 
  • Provide communications support for key events, including event management, translation, documentation and reporting. 
  • Provide support for merchandising development and procurement. 
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Education Qualification and Competencies 

  • Bachelors’ degree in mass communications, social studies or other relevant field. 
  • Prior work experience not required.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; innovative and creative thinker.
  • Willingness and ability to work closely with other departments, institutions, and across cultures.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven.
  • Knowledge of photography, videography, editing, and design preferred. 
  • Nepali typing skill will be an added advantage.
