Scope of the work

The technical officer is chiefly responsible for answering technical queries of the member companies, for keeping the administration of trained masons and supervisors, organizing trainings for masons and supervisors and for the coordination of large scale technical projects.

Goal: The Technical officer ensures that NBPA has good technical knowledge of biogas in the organization. Further, this person is responsible for NBPA’s core activities of providing mason and supervisor trainings, and he or she maintains a database of skilled biogas personnel.

Communication

• Keep in regular touch with the biogas companies. To know their staffing and technical issues
• Answer biogas technical queries from members and other stakeholders
• Keep records of trained biogas technicians
• Report on trainings conducted under his or her supervision
• Help report on other projects and trainings under his or her supervision 

Program Work

• Responsible for training high quality masons and supervisors for the biogas companies
• Coordinate with the biogas companies for large projects
• Start and maintain a digital database of all certified biogas technicians and companies in Nepal
• Keep up to date on new biogas related technologies and keep a library of technical literature and articles 
• Lead research & development projects

Members

• Keep up to date figures on the available staff for companies and asses their further needs for biogas technicians
• Answer technical queries related to biogas
• Organize trainings for biogas technicians (mason and supervisor)

Others

• Network with other actors in the energy sector to promote NBPA and biogas technology

Experience:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in relevant field; Bio gas technology / Waste Water Management / Organic Waste Management. 
• Project management would be an added advantage
