Children-Women in Social Service and Human Rights (CWISH), a non-profit civil society organization established in 1993 with an aim to ensure social justice, protection and promotion of human rights especially the rights of children and youths, invites applications for different posts: Project Coordinator, Youth Advocacy Coordinator and District Youth Mobilization Officers from interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizens only) who are reliable, accountable, and have ability to deliver results with highest level of integrity.

Education and training

  • Master’s degree in the subject of social sciences, human rights, law, management or similar qualification 

Experience and skills:

  • At least five years of dedicated work experience in the leadership position and in the field of program management cycle (planning, implementing and monitoring/evaluation)
  • Working experience with multidisciplinary team, coordination, communication and advocacy with multisector stakeholders at all levels (local, province and federal)
  • Experience of writing concept notes, program/project guides and project proposals
  • Experience in facilitating training and multi stakeholders’ meetings/workshop dialogues
  • Experience of working directly with highly vulnerable and marginalised children, adults and communities in particular child rights/protection and women’s rights
  • Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable children or other marginalised groups to bring out their voices to decision- and policy-makers
  • Experience of overseeing and implementing child-led / participatory processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to network effectively with key local, national and international stakeholders
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment with vulnerable and marginalised groups.

Knowledge

  • Fluency in spoken and written Nepali and English 
  • Knowledge of children and women rights and the relevant national legal/policy framework and procedures 
  • A good understanding of the local context and opportunities and barriers to creating change
  • Knowledge of gender and inclusion issues and child safeguarding

  • Willingness to travel to and work with communities living in poverty in remote areas

Major Responsibilities:

The Team Leader, in close support of Executive Advisor (EA), leads the organization for organizational development, program planning and management, fundraising, communications and coordination with partners and various stakeholders. The Team Leader reports directly to the Executive Advisor and Executive Board Representative. The specific roles include, but not limited to as follows:  

  • Setting up and advancing organizational strategies and approaches
  • Organizational development and management 
  • Program/project management (Planning, Implementation and monitoring/evaluation)
  • Program development and quality management 
  • Resource generation and documentation  
  • Communication and coordination
