Job Description

Wendy House School is seeking dedicated and passionate educators to join our team as Teachers. The ideal candidates will be committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students, fostering their intellectual, social, and emotional development. As a Teacher at Wendy House School, you will play a crucial role in shaping young minds, promoting a love for learning, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Stay current on educational trends, teaching methodologies, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the school community by actively participating in and, when possible, leading extracurricular activities, clubs, or events.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification/license.
  • Previous experience in a similar teaching role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and the classroom as a whole.
