Unleash Your Passion for STEAM Education: Teacher Trainers wanted at Karkhana!

Are you a passionate educator who believes in the power of hands-on learning and STEAM education? Do you want to  empower teachers to ignite curiosity and spark innovation in their students? If so, then we want you!

Karkhana, established in 2069 B.S. is a social enterprise dedicated to designing hands-on learning experiences for students, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Teacher Trainer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in equipping teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively implement and use  our hands-on curricular kits for grades 1-9. The fellowship will start from Chaitra 2080 and ends on Jestha 2081. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging training workshops for teachers on STEAM principles, hands-on learning methodologies, and the effective use of Karkhana's Science learning kits.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers, observing their mock classes and offering constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with our team to continuously improve the training programs and resources based on feedback and evolving educational needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in STEAM education and curriculum development.
  • Contribute to the development of improvised training models 
  • Travel to Karkhana associated schools throughout the different locations in Nepal.

What We're Looking For:

  • Academic background in Science: Bachelors completed, Masters completed or running in any field related to Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Science teacher in secondary schools (grades 6-9).
  • Deep understanding of the CDC curriculum and STEAM education principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and create a positive learning environment for teachers.
  • Adaptability and comfort working with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Proficiency in using technology for training and resource development.
  • Experience as a teacher trainer or workshop facilitator is a bonus point.
  • A passion for science education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of students.
