Term, Location & Duration:    

  • Fixed term position initially for one year based in Nepal Country Office, Kathmandu

Key Responsibilities

  • Support T and D Coordinator to prepare, implement and monitor the annual talent and development plan as per budget and timeline.
  • Coordinates with all sectors to compile the training and development plans and supports to roll out the plan and ensures the follow-up and monitoring of plan. 
  • Organize and facilitates staff inductions on regular basis and keeps the record update
  • Assist T and D Coordinator on preparing and updating staff hand book and simplify the hand book relevant to staff levels
  • Visits cluster and district offices for staff induction
  • Establishes and maintains contact with national and international training institutes and resource persons to implement T and D plan for staff in emergency responses
  • Ensures/maintains all training records of personnel are kept/updated on regular basis
  • Ensures logistic arrangement of all in-house training and policy orientation.
  • Works with emergency HR Manager to train all SC staff on use of the performance management and recruitment systems.
  • Support T and D Coordinator to manage other HR functions as and when required

Required Qualification and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Studies with at least one year of working experience in training & development
  • Good planning, organizing, coordination and monitoring skills
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in the Nepali & English languages
