Job Description

The Supply Chain Officer will ensure that all procurements are done on a timely basis without compromising the quality of the products and supervise the receipt, dispatch and storage of merchandise in the warehouses. S/He will oversee procuring, picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation and administrative functions. 

Detailed tasks:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and plan deliver timetables.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to forecast orders and meet dealers’ demands. 
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure stores have enough stock
  • Oversee the ordering and packaging processes, ensure that all materials purchased are of appropriate quality and price.
  • Coordinating all site supply chain functions: from the factory floor to invoice.
  • Negotiate shipping prices and transportation arrangements with contracted providers. 
  • Track products through depots to make sure they arrive at their destination and oversee arrival of shipments
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with suppliers, vendors, and shipping contacts throughout the procurement lifecycle. 
  • Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Generate all required procurement documentation and maintain records and files in an impeccable manner.
  • Provide all needed information and documents to Accounts department. 
  • Conduct regular analysis for commonly sold goods.
  • Ensure that appropriate import and export compliance procedures are followed by employees and contracted service providers. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Related Field 
  • Proven working experience in supply chain at manufacturing companies

Key Skills:

  • Hands on experience with supply chain management software will be an advantage
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Available to work extended hours

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
