Department: Student Affairs / Student Services
Reports to: Director of Student Services

Position Overview:

The Student Services Officer is responsible for supporting the academic, personal, and social development of students. This role involves delivering high-quality services including student advising, support for student engagement programs, and assistance with administrative processes to ensure a positive student experience

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for student inquiries and concerns, offering guidance or referrals as appropriate.
Support students in understanding academic requirements, registration processes, and institutional policies.
Plan, promote, and coordinate student events, orientation programs, and wellness initiatives.
Collaborate with academic departments, counseling services, and other support units to ensure a holistic student support system.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and generate regular reports for senior management.
Assist with the development of policies and procedures that enhance student life and services.
Promote diversity, inclusion, and student engagement on campus.
Respond to and manage critical student issues or crises with discretion and empathy.
Support international students with visa, housing, and adaptation matters (if applicable).
Coordinate student feedback mechanisms and participate in continuous improvement efforts

Other Specification

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in student services, advising, or a similar student-facing role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Organizational and administrative abilities with attention to detail.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or Counseling.
Experience working with diverse and/or international student populations.
Familiarity with student information systems
