Community Development Forum (CDF) Nepal is implementing a project titled “Strengthening community resilience programme in Sudurpaschim province of Nepal” in Partnership with Caritas Nepal. The main goal of the project is to contribute to sustainable livelihood of smallholder farmers through promotion of climate-resilient agriculture in Nepal.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- Communities in project districts have collectively reduced their vulnerabilities to disasters (eg. Earthquake) and improved resilience to climate change.
- Environmentally conscious and aware students and school management are prepared to face potential disasters and the impact of climate change.; and
- Institutional systems for DRR established and capacities of local government (Province, District, and Municipality) strengthened.
CDF Nepal is looking for Infrastructure Development Officer posted on Silgadhi Doti with following qualifications.
The Major Responsibility of Infrastructure Development Officer will be but not limited to:
- Assess the Structural vulnerability of the School and Public building of Project Implementation Area of Doti and Bajura District.
- Prepare prevailing structural analysis report of the assessed Buildings.
- Prepare the suggested correction measures of the assessed buildings with detail cost estimation.
- In case of New Buildings Required Prepare typical architectural/civil designs and Detail Estimations as per the guideline of Nepal Government authorities.
- Prepare the specification of the materials and methodologies to be used in construction works.
- Prepare the cost-effective designs or corrective measures focusing hilly areas where the delivery of construction materials is challenging considering geographical scenario.
- Submit Prepared Reports to Caritas Nepal, Community Development Forum and respective Rural/Municipalities.
- Prepare the design estimates and supervision of the construction works under the Strengthening Community Resilience Program in Sudurpaschim Province of Nepal Project.
- Coordinate with the Rural/Municipalities and Respective Department during the implementation.
- Coordinate with Caritas Nepal and Community Development Forum Executive Committee as per need.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors on Civil Engineering with 3 Years’ experience in similar Nature Projects. Masters on Structural engineering is Preferred.
- Must have a valid 2 wheeler driving license
