Position: Strategic Partnerships Development Officer (SPDO)
Remuneration: Attractive package reflecting competencies and experience.
Working Days: 5 days a week (Mon-Friday, 900am to 530pm). Flexible within the COVID-19 pandemic period.

Reporting to: Business Development Lead (BDL) and CEO
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Strategic Partnerships Development Officer (SPDO). The SPDO serves as a management team member and a leading participant in making strategic decisions for the company. The SPDO will be responsible for forging partnerships with intergovernmental organizations (e.g. UN, The World Bank, The Asian Development Bank), bilateral and multilateral donors (e.g. USAID, FCDO) I/NGOs and the Government of Nepal. This role involves national and international portal-based market research, pre-positioning and strategic priority setting, etc.
The SPDO shall coordinate with SWN’s technical departments, i.e. Engineering Unit, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Unit, Green Governance Unit, to design and implement a strategic direction for each.
The SPDO will develop new strategic partnerships; this includes connecting and building relationships with development partners in Nepal and in the international market and developing project portfolios.
The SPDO will carry out intensive market research, to identify new opportunities; analyze competition and forecast growth.
The SPDO will develop and execute all proposals; this includes preparing innovative proposals with a long-term partnership development approach.
The SPDO will lead marketing activities within the company; this includes developing marketing materials, hosting marketing events and many others.
The SPDO will engage in meeting with potential funding agencies, clients, and consulting partners at the international and national levels and explore new partnerships. Internally, SPDO will prepare well inside the organization to demonstrate our unique competencies.
The SPDO will support updating the content for the company website and social media to reflect the firm's strengths and ongoing projects.
