Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Store Keeper at Shah Engineering Construction will be responsible for managing the storage, distribution, and record-keeping of construction materials and supplies. The role involves ensuring efficient inventory management, timely procurement, and the maintenance of accurate stock records.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of construction materials and supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that stock levels are adequate for ongoing projects.
Organize and store materials in a systematic and easily accessible manner.
Issue materials to construction teams as needed, ensuring proper documentation.
Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
Coordinate with suppliers and procurement team to reorder materials as necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized store.
Prepare reports on stock status, material usage, and procurement activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures.
Provide support to project managers and construction teams regarding material availability and requirements.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 10 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in inventory management or storekeeping, in the construction industry.
Familiarity with construction materials and equipment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Good communication skills in Nepali and English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards.
Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain management.
