About Project:

Strengthening Inclusive Education in Nepal (SIKAI)” is one of HI’s inclusive education project, aimed to improve inclusive education in Sarlahi District (Chandranagar, Haripurwa, Parsa, and Bramhapuri) of Nepal. SIKAI will directly address barriers that keep girls, children with disabilities, and children from fragile families out of schools and society. The project aims to improve standards in schools that directly impact inclusive education whilst parallelly sensitizing communities to change behaviors and practices that barricade children from attending school and participating in society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical aspect of inclusive education program and support partners in planning the project activities and implementation of the activities as per the detail implementation plan 
  • Support Project Coordinator for budget forecasting, budget expenditure monitoring and re-budgeting.
  • Develop a planning, monitoring and evaluation (PME) framework for the timely implementation of HI’s PME policy at the Inclusive Education project level
  • Closely monitor the technical qualities of the project activities in the field and provide suggestions to partners for necessary improvements

Qualification and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Education or related field
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in Education/Inclusive Education thematic preferably with disability and inclusion exposure
  • Experience mentoring staff and local organization and transferring skills and knowledge.
  • Interpersonal skill to build and maintain effective working relations with all stakeholders
  • Creative and strong team player with strategic, analytic thinking skills
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of education system and disability in Nepal
