Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

A combination of 2-3+ years of experience to include the following areas:

• Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
• Managing and maintaining network infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik, Huawei etc)
• Basic knowledge of Linux (RedHat, CentOS)
• Linux scripting, package management, and system security tools such as containers and host intrusion detection
• In-depth experience working with Access Control Lists, TCP/ IP, VLAN, Port Security, IP Multicast, routing and switching
• Experience with network services and architecture (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/ IP, VPN etc) including hand-on experience troubleshooting LAN/ WAN/ VLAN technologies
• In-depth knowledge of High-Availability computing and networking (load balancing, DHCP, DNS)
• Knowledge and use of standard monitoring tools such as Nagios. Knowledge of incident management process
• Performs system backups and recovery
• Strong analytical skills as well as proficiency at troubleshooting L2/ L3 issues
• Identify and analyze service impacting issues; apply timely and effective solutions
• Approach solutions iteratively using phased deployments when appropriate
• Plan project tasks, estimate durations, adapt schedules to maintain timeline commitments
• Develop and maintain shared documentation within the team
• Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Collaborate effectively with others members of the technical team and with customers
• Work evenings and weekends as required by planned and unplanned system maintenance
• An effective communicator with an independent, self-starting attitude
• Provides technical support and guidance to subordinates
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Possess one of the following certifications: CCNA
• Background in Information Technology and comprehensive hands on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Mikrotik/Huawei routers switches and firewall management
• Windows 2012 R2 administration
• Working knowledge of OSPF, MPLS, BGP, Frame Relay, Spanning Tree, VLAN's, VTP, Trunking protocols
• Experience with Virtualization and or Cloud technologies (VmWare ESXi etc)

Experience:  Minimum 2 to 3 yrs of experience in related field
