  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent. 
  • Proven minimum 1 year of experience programming in Python, Django, but also willing to learn new languages/frameworks as required. 
  • Candidates must have a good understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards. 
  • Strong understanding of SQL(MySQL/PostgreSQL) or other relational database technologies. 
  • Fluency and versatility across Django/Python. 
  • Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's. 
  • Deep functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with JSON-based RESTful Web Services (Django Rest Framework) is needed to be successful in this position.
  • Comfortable with working on existing JavaScript, HTML and CSS code. 
  • Excellent understanding of object oriented methodology and design pattern and deployment experience in Linux. 
  • Concept of DevOps and experience with AWS will be an added benefit. 
  • Good knowledge of writing requirements specifications, architecture and design documents, test strategy and test cases for the feature. 
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN) 
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in continuous code optimization with strong debugging skills. 
  • Research oriented who is a keen learner and constantly looking for the latest and optimal technologies. 
  • Positive attitude and great team player who can work well with the team. 

Job Description

This person will be responsible for maintaining and updating the digital library system. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Experience in ReactJS projects including webpack, redux, babel, etc. is also good to have 
  • Able to work closely with System Admin for online and offline version release. 
  • Write well designed, reusable, testable, efficient code 
  • Execute full lifecycle software development 
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility 
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system 
  • Document and maintain software functionality 
  • Study and debug existing web application in order to improve performance and to enforce standard coding practices
