Job Description

Manaslu Public Secondary School Nayabazar, Kathmandu is looking for motivated and passionate individuals who believe in learning and growth in an experiential/progressive teaching-learning platform. Applicants must have fluency in English, an ability to relate to students and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and update curriculum materials for the social studies program, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that promote critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of social studies content, including history, geography, government, and cultural studies.
  • Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Integrate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Studies Department and across disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and discuss areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification for secondary education with a focus on social studies.
  • Proven experience as a Social Studies Teacher at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of social studies content and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into the classroom.

  • Digital literacy
  • Good command over English & Nepali Language. 
  • Commitment for at least 2 years.
