Social Mobilizer / Sales Officer

Build up Nepal promotes earthquake-resistant and eco friendly housing through CSEB interlocking bricks and production machines. The Social Mobilizer/Sales Officer will expand adoption of this technology across Province 1. You will work directly with different communities, entrepreneurs, local governments, and private customers to increase sales of machines and bricks, while strengthening local enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

Social Mobilization and Community Engagement

• Explain the technical, environmental, and cost advantages of CSEB interlocking brick technology to communities.
• Organize ward level and Palika level meetings, orientations, and demonstrations.
• Identify interested youth and entrepreneurs and guide them toward enterprise setup.
• Maintain regular contact with entrepreneurs to support production planning and sales growth.
• Coordinate with local NGOs, INGOs, cooperatives, and community groups.
• Implement project activities as per approved work plan and timeline.

Local Government Liaison

• Coordinate meetings with Palikas, Ward offices, and technical units.
• Promote CSEB technology for use in municipal buildings, schools, health posts, and housing programs.
• Support inclusion of CSEB in municipal plans and budgets.
• Build long term working relationships with elected representatives and engineers.

Field Sales and Enterprise Development

• Identify potential customers for machines and bricks across Province 1.
• Conduct field visits, sales calls, follow ups, and presentations.
• Respond to inquiries and convert leads into entrepreneurs and buyers.
• Organize live machine demonstrations and technical orientations.
• Support entrepreneurs on pricing strategy, margins, bookkeeping, and marketing.
• Monitor production, delivery, payments, and after sales service in coordination with technical team.
• Maintain weekly and monthly sales reports, call reports, and pipeline tracking.
