Job Title: Social Mobilizer

Job Summary:

The Social Mobilizer will play a vital role in engaging and mobilizing local communities to actively participate in project activities. The position requires strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity,and a good understanding of local issues. The Social Mobilizer will help facilitate awareness-raising, behavior change, and ensure community participation in areas such as health, hygiene in Healthcare Facilities, and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement

Build strong relationships with local communities, leaders, women's groups, schools, and other stakeholders.
Conduct regular community visits to inform, consult, and encourage participation in project activities.
Facilitate community meetings, focus group discussions, and information-sharing sessions.

Behavior Change Support

Support awareness campaigns on WASH, health, nutrition, and education through local events, door-to-door visits, and other outreach methods.
Assist in the delivery of behavior change communication (BCC) messages tailored to the local context.

Monitoring and Reporting

Track and report community feedback, concerns, and participation levels.
Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from the field.

Support for Project Teams

Coordinate with technical teams (engineers, health workers, etc.) to ensure effective delivery of services.
Support community contributions such as labor, material donations, or maintenance roles.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Higher Secondary (+2/A Levels/IB)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum +2 (intermediate) degree in social sciences, education, public health, or related field.
At least 2 year of experience in community mobilization or field-level development work.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in local languages.
Good understanding of the local culture, context, and geography.
Willingness to work in remote and rural areas with frequent field travel.
