Job Description

As a Social Media Support Specialist at Music Nepal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our digital initiatives, with a focus on digital service providers (YouTube Content Management System, MNIP), the MOMO app, MN Website and the interactions with other music labels, partners etc. You will work closely with the Social Media Manager, curators and business development team cross-promoting content from our aggregation and publishing house across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

Content Cross-Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to cross-promote content from our aggregation and publishing house on platforms like YouTube, MOMO app, and other digital service providers. Create engaging and visually appealing content for different social media channels.

YT CMS Management:

  • Assist in the management of the YouTube Content Management System (YT CMS). Ensure timely uploads, metadata optimization, and compliance with platform guidelines.

MOMO App Support:

  • Support the promotion of the MOMO app through social media channels. Interact with users, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive user experience.

Customer Support:

  • Provide excellent customer support across social media platforms, addressing user queries and feedback. Collaborate with the Customer Support Team to maintain a positive Net Promoter Score (NPS).

E-mail Marketing:

  • Integration of social media efforts with e-mail marketing campaigns for a cohesive marketing strategy. Familiarity with e-mail marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).

Social Media Strategy Support:

  • Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies. Contribute ideas for creative campaigns and user engagement initiatives. Understanding of mobile marketing strategies, given the prevalence of mobile usage in social media. Optimization of content and campaigns for mobile platforms.

Maintain conversion Tracking: 

  • Ability to set up and track conversions through social media campaigns. Understanding of conversion funnels and strategies to optimize for desired actions (e.g., ticket sales, merchandise purchases).

Requirements:

  • Social Media Platforms Expertise: knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.). Familiarity with platform-specific features, algorithms, and best practices for content promotion.
  • Content Creation and Editing: Proficient in using graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) for creating visually appealing content. Basic video editing skills for creating promotional videos and multimedia content. Ability to create engaging content for various social media platforms.
  • Analytics and Data Interpretation: Proficiency in using analytics tools provided by social media platforms (Facebook Insights, Instagram Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics, etc.). Ability to analyse data, interpret metrics, and derive actionable insights to support social media manager to optimise strategies for revenue generation. 
  • Paid Advertising Campaigns: Experience in or have knowledge of creating and managing paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms. Knowledge of targeting options, bidding strategies, and budget allocation for effective ad spend. Ability to optimize content, including captions, hashtags, and metadata, to improve discoverability and reach.
  • Customer support capabilities: Strong customer support capabilities with a focus on achieving a positive NPS. Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with the Social Media Manager. Proactive and enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of a leading media house.
  • Knowledge of Music Streaming Platforms: Understanding of how music streaming platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music) operate and how to leverage them for revenue generation. Integration of social media strategies with promotional efforts on music streaming platforms.
  • API and Automation Knowledge: Familiarity with social media APIs for advanced analytics and automation. Utilization of automation tools for scheduling posts, tracking mentions, and managing campaigns efficiently.

About You: 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in digital marketing department within the music or entertainment industry 
  • You are completely in internet culture, with a deeper understanding of the digital landscape and knowledge of both current and emerging platforms.
  • A collaborative team player who can work with the wider team to identify - and deliver on - shared objectives and goals. 
  • A problem solver, someone who has the confidence and ability to identify challenges, create solutions and implement them effectively on their own accord.
  • Highly motivated with a curious and proactive mindset.
  • Composed in pressure situations and being adaptable to cope with changing strategies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at any one time.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Data savvy and passionate about using data analysis to understand and inform process.
