Job Description

The Social Media Manager will implement Kaymu Nepal’s Social Media Strategy, develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and cultivate leads and sales.  The Social Media Manager must be a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for content strategy, blogging, micro-blogging and community participation leadership.
 
The social media manager works hand in hand with the marketing team in Europe (that keeps responsibility of managing Facebook ads, budgets and global social media strategy). This role is very important as it is at the crossroad of marketing, customer support, PR. You will be the online voice of Kaymu in Nepal, so you need to be confident enough to converse with colleagues abroad in English, and with customers here at home in Nepali.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Updating social media accounts (FB, Twitter, G+, Instagram, blog)
  • Posting on our Facebook page, following European Office’s social media plannings
  • Actively seek out exciting deals offered by Sellers for posts, tweets and uploads
  • Monitoring inboxes, comments, Twitter mentions and answering them in English or Nepali in a timely manner
  • Engaging our audience with competitions, games, events etc
  • Giving local input to central team on social media activities
  • Developing great designs for banners, posts and so on (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog)
  • Manage Social Media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including:
  • Curate relevant content to reach the audience most likely to buy on Kaymu.
  • Write editorial content
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales for sellers.
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
  • Implement a proactive strategy for capturing customer online reviews. Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of Social Media programs. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Possesses knowledge and experience of the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Social Media. (Give links to profiles as examples).
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Excellent writing and language skills (English and Nepali minimum).
  • Exceeds at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and off.
  • Can work independently, yet is a team worker
