We are looking for a Social Media Manager to take ownership of our social media presence and content strategy. The role will focus on developing social media strategies, managing content calendars, coordinating content creation, analyzing performance and driving engagement and brand growth, in alignment with the overall marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy

Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and brand objectives.
Manage the company's presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
Develop monthly content plans and content calendars.
Identify trends, relevant formats and new opportunities to increase reach and engagement.
Ensure consistency in brand voice, visual identity and messaging across platforms.

2. Content Planning & Coordination

Plan content themes, campaigns, product features, promotions and seasonal content.
Work closely with content creators, photographers, videographers and designers to execute content plans.
Provide clear creative briefs and direction to content creators.
Coordinate shoots, reels, product content and other social media assets.
Review and ensure content meets brand standards before publishing.
Maintain a consistent and engaging content pipeline.

3. Social Media Management

Manage day-to-day social media activities, including scheduling and publishing content.
Monitor comments, messages, mentions and audience interactions.
Identify opportunities to increase community engagement and build a strong online brand community.
Coordinate with relevant teams to respond to customer queries and feedback where required.
Stay updated with platform changes, algorithms, trends and emerging content formats.

4. Analytics & Reporting

Monitor social media performance on a regular basis.
Track key metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement, engagement rate, follower growth, video views, shares, saves and website traffic.
Prepare weekly/monthly social media performance reports for the Marketing Manager.
Analyze which content, formats, topics and campaigns are performing best.
Provide actionable recommendations based on data and audience insights.
Continuously test and improve the social media strategy based on performance.

5. Campaign & Brand Support

Support marketing campaigns, product launches, promotions, festivals and new outlet initiatives through social media.
Develop social media plans for campaigns and special promotions.
Coordinate with the Digital Marketing Specialist to identify high-performing organic content that can be amplified through paid advertising.
Support location-based content and campaigns for the company's 25 outlets across Nepal.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business or a related field.
Relevant social media or digital marketing certifications will be an advantage.

Experience

2–3 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or consumer-facing business.
Experience working with content creators, influencers, photographers and videographers.
Experience in retail, fashion, eyewear, beauty, lifestyle or other consumer brands will be an advantage.

What We Expect

We are looking for someone who can own the social media presence, not simply schedule posts.

You should be able to answer:

What type of content should we create and why?
Which content is performing best?
Why did a particular reel perform well or poorly?
What trends should we be using?
Which content should we produce more of?
How can we improve engagement and reach?
Are our content creators delivering the right content?
How can social media contribute to store visits, customer engagement and sales?
You will work under the direction of the Marketing Manager, while taking day-to-day ownership of social media strategy, content coordination, publishing, community engagement and performance analysis.

NewMew Nepal -Within a year of observing the rapid increase in eyewear demand, we redirected our focus towards future expansion. Consequently, we successfully opened three additional stores in Newroad, Pokhara, and Butwal, both inside and outside the valley.
