Job Description

‘Welcome To My Yard’ has an immediate opportunity for a creative and experienced Social Business Coordinator to be part of their team in Kathmandu. This role will be responsible for coordinating all their innovative non-profit businesses 
To be considered in this role you will need to have a strong background in business, strong in verbal and writing skills in English, able to multi-task and manage a number of small businesses. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery and development of WTMY’s current and future not for profit business projects such as WTMY’s City Walk, Rickshaw Cafe and handicrafts project.
  • To coordinate WTMY’s vocational training project in partnership with the WTMY Programme Manager which includes coordinating and ensuring the smooth delivery of a bite size training package to street young people engaged in our vocational training programme. The focus of this training package is on practical business skills and knowledge
  • To work in partnership and support current and future staff/ volunteers/ interns involved in direct delivery of the Social Business projects such as the City Walk and Rickshaw Cafe.
  • To manage the budgets and other resources of the project, ensuring compliance with financial and administrative policies and procedures for submission to senior staff regularly.
  • Lead in finding ways to bring in customers through marketing, potential local events, partnering with local agencies

Experience required

  • Project management experience
  • Experience of partnership working with community and/ or commercial projects and agencies
  • Experience of managing financial resources
  • Experience of working within a business or not for profit environment
