Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent’s responsibility will be to assist the MEL team in updating information on and monitoring the status of the challenge fund’s (CF) portfolio of projects. The Skills Market specialist/ Accessor will provide assistance to the MEL and Challenge Fund (CF) project staff in Data mining, verification, and analysis of ongoing CF projects as well as provide support in developing MEL plans and results framework when establishing MEL system of new CF projects.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on the status of a challenge fund partner project, especially during the CF partner project monthly report claims verification.
- Provide support in verification of evidence of training and placement provided by challenge fund partner projects.
- Assist with data collection, data mining, data verification, and data analysis of data provided by CF partners contained in SEP’s MEL database.
- Turn the current available data into information, supporting the programme evidence strengthening activities.
- Support operationalization of SEP knowledge management. Support CF partner teams in developing case studies of good practices, success stories, and lessons learnt from implementation of project activities
- Support the development of CF partner MEL profiles using the wealth of information captured in the MEL databases. These profiles will showcase CF partner project activities and progress.
- Assist in preparing project-related documents for SEP partner monthly reflection meetings and CF project MEL plans and results framework during project MEL system design, development, and implementation.
- Assist in preparing presentation and enhancing public and CF partner awareness on SEP MEL activities.
- Collaborate with communication team to ensure that programme MEL related information is updated and easily accessible.
- Support in developing impact stories with the aim of describing the programme high level results to an external audience.
- In addition to this, the incumbent will provide general support to SEP MEL and Programme management and undertake other duties at request of the supervising officers.
Reporting:
The Skills Market specialist/ Accessor will report to the MEL Director.
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or any other related discipline with 2 to 5 years’ experience working in a MEL related role.
- Proven skill in data collection, data mining, data verification, and data analysis with experience in conducting applied research work.
- Proven skill in report writing, data analysis, and computer skills, including Microsoft office package.
- Good communication skill with spoken and written competency in English and Nepali language.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have the flexibility to join the programme at the earliest.
