Job title: Settlement Officer

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM Sydney (AUS)

Salary Range: $1200 - $1500 AU

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented settlement officer to join our team. 

The settlement officer will work closely with brokers, lenders, and clients to ensure a smooth and efficient settlement.

Responsibilities:

Manage Settlement Process: Oversees the application from unconditional approval to mortgage settlement.

Review Documentation: Thoroughly review all mortgage loan documentation to ensure loan structure, rates and customer details are accurate.

Coordinate with Brokers: Act as the primary liaison between brokers and clients, providing support and guidance throughout the settlement process, and addressing any concerns or queries promptly.

Follow up with Lenders: Work closely with lending institutions to ensure all necessary documentation and funds are in place for timely settlements, communicating any requirements or issues as they arise.

Resolve Issues: Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the settlement process, collaborating with internal teams, brokers, and lenders to find effective solutions.

Provide Client Support: Offer exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the settlement process and ensuring a positive experience.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as a Settlement Officer preferably in an Australian Company.
  • Experience: Previous experience in mortgage lending with specific experience in broker support or settlement coordination preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with brokers, clients, and lenders.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and processing documentation, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with brokers, lenders, and internal teams to achieve common goals and deliver excellent service to clients.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
