  • Design, Engineering and Project Management
  • Asset Management including Operations, Maintenance and Monitoring

Job Description

We are looking for the following technicians with a mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical background to join a team that delivers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and service programmes for clients across Scotland, UK.

The ideal candidates will be able to successfully undertake fault finding, repair and maintenance activities of hydropower plants, including hydraulic systems, turbines, motors, pumps, inverters, PLC control systems, 3 phase electrical systems.

Senior Operations Technician

  • A relevant qualification (level 3 HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • 5 years+ experience working in the E&M service sector.
  • Experience in a supervisory position
  • Able to work under pressure and in remote areas.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proactive and ability to be flexible in a changing environment.
  • A full driving licence.

Desirables for position:

  • Independently working on Remote sites
  • PLC Control systems experience.
  • Experience working in the hydro or renewable energy industry.

Shift Work:

  • These posts will need some shift work (early or late)
  • Weekend working will be required regularly
  • Overtime will be paid where appropriate
