Roles and responsibilities of this job

A Senior System Engineer will take a leadership role in designing, developing, and optimizing our Linux-based products. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems, while also mentoring and guiding junior team members. The ideal candidate should have an extensive background in Linux internals, networking, scripting, automation, and a record of accomplishment in successfully managing large-scale systems.

Roles and responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and optimization of Linux-based products.
Conduct performance optimization of various LogPoint products
Design, develop and maintain scripts for system automation and configuration management.
Configure and manage advanced networking and security measures.
Design, Develop, Maintain and Improve State of the Art Software Build and Deployment Process.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
Implement and enforce best practices for system development and security.
Collaborate with stakeholders.
Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for product improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in System Engineering, primarily focused on Unix-based operating systems.
Extensive experience in Linux internals and large-scale system development.
High proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
Expertise in VPN (Virtual Private Networks) solutions, network security, and advanced security measures.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Good knowledge of virtualization, container Technology and public cloud
Proven record of accomplishment of troubleshooting complex system issues and optimizing performance.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Good written and spoken English.
