As a Senior Software Engineer at ITONICS

You'll be taking the reins of cutting-edge technologies in our legacy system that allows engineers to jump between problems delivering solutions that will never leave you bored. Our applications and services are designed to scale to thousands of daily active users that immediately respond to higher demand. • Software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing, and launching.
• Work collaboratively with other internal and external developers in a multi-dev environment.
• Modify and upgrade the existing functionality of our product.
• Test, maintain, and troubleshoot existing Drupal-based web applications (Custom Drupal module development training will be provided for the Engineers with no experience in custom Drupal development).
• Manage and improve site performance (speed, user experience, security)

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Continuous research and learning.
• Work according to sprint planning.
• Support and maintenance of software.
• Technical leadership and guidance.
• Performance-oriented code optimization.
• Synchronizes with the product & sales team to assist with their inquiry.

YOUR SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with any CMS, e.g. Drupal (preferred), or WordPress.
• Familiarity with Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, or other PHP frameworks.
• Strong database management skills (e.g., MySQL, MsSQL).
• Hands-on experience with search solutions like Solr and Elasticsearch.
• API development expertise. 
• Experience with configuring single sign-on (SSO) solutions (SAMLpreferred).
• Good knowledge of version control tools (Git preferred).
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc. Strong troubleshooting skills
• Testing and quality assurance knowledge (PHPUnit).
• Ability to understand CSS/Javascript changes to have consistent style/impact across platforms and browsers.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others, especially with remote team members through virtual channels such as Slack, email, and project management tools. Good verbal and written communication skills
• Well-rounded knowledge of web-based technologies.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with writing clean and well-documented code.
