Reports to: Project Manager

Location: Bakhundole, Lalitpur 44600, Nepal

Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) from Monday to Friday [On-site]

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a passion for Node.js to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our SaaS communication platform on AWS. This role is critical for ensuring our platform's performance, reliability, and scalability while collaborating with our teams to deliver top-quality software efficiently. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Node.js development, performance optimization, real-time data handling, and a strong commitment to maintaining high coding standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop & Maintain: Build and enhance our communication platform using Node.js. Write clean, efficient code for real-time services.
• Collaborate: Work with product, design, and front-end teams to deliver top-notch features.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure our apps are fast, reliable, and scalable. Tackle high-traffic and real-time data challenges.
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards.
• Mentor & Lead: Guide junior developers, fostering a positive team culture.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest industry trends and bring fresh ideas.

Skills and Qualifications

• Task Related skills and Certifications
• 5+ years in software development, with a focus on Node.js. Experience in communication or real-time data applications is a plus.
• Proficient in JavaScript, Express, SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and microservices. Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time protocols is a plus.

Competencies and Soft Skills 

• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Excellent at troubleshooting complex issues. Strong analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Collaborative mindset and supportive of cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of TDD, CI, and agile methodologies.
