Job Description

Reports to: Program Officer
Job Location: Emergency Care Center,Central
Remuneration and Benefit: Negotiable as per competence and experience

The Senior Social Worker designated under the project is to coordinate the project activities and mobilize the outreach team and CPSWs to attain the objectives of the "Rehabilitation and Reintegration Support for Abandoned Women with Mental Health Condition and Psychosocial Disability (MHCPD)" project supported by HimalPartner by the consortium of KOSHISH. It specifies expected results and personal and professional qualities to ensure project deliverables in Bagmati and Gandaki Province.

The main purpose of this job is to supervise CPSWs, the outreach team, conduct community awareness programs, and coordination meetings with the relevant stakeholders and local government.

MAJOR DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the plan and Implement the project activities timely among the target community
  • Provide psychoeducation to the family members and community people of the beneficiaries, ensure proper documentation of the intervention
  • Support project team for development and facilitation of community orientation and sensitization as per the project requirement
  • Coordination with the local government, OCMCs, and health workers for ensuring long-term support of the beneficiaries
  • Prepare systematic records and database of the beneficiaries and ensure privacy.
  • Support the Project team to implement project activities as per need.
  • Prepare and submit a monthly report
  • Development of awareness materials
  • Identify women who require specialized psychosocial support and refer them to the emergency care service center
  • Identify the reintegrated beneficiaries who require livelihood support, assess them, and refer them to the local-level stakeholders
  • Identify the reintegrated beneficiaries who require psychotropic medication support, assess them, and refer them to the local-level stakeholders
  • Engage with the local government and its representatives to advocate in favor of mental health and psychosocial well-being of the beneficiaries
  • Any other task assigned by the Team Leader relevant to the project deliverable.
