Roles and responsibilities of this job

Main Responsibilities:

Offer specialized technical guidance and support in monitoring the construction of Transitional Learning Centers (TLCs), ensuring that these structures are built to meet necessary standards. Collaborate closely with local government representatives, school teachers, school management committees, and community members to foster alignment and support at the municipal level.
Assist and monitor awareness programs aimed at promoting earthquake-resistant construction practices.
Assist and monitor the hands-on training programs specifically focused on earthquake-resistant techniques for constructing TLCs.
Manage and organize relevant data, ensuring accurate and accessible information for efficient project tracking and reporting.
Prepare and submit reports that reflect project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to project goals and organizational needs.

Skills and abilities:

Proficient in interpreting and creating building drawings, along with accurate quantity estimation for construction materials and costs.
Experienced in designing and delivering training programs tailored to specific needs, enhancing participant learning and engagement.
Well-versed in a range of software applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, facilitating document management, presentations, communication, and data handling.
Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on guiding teams effectively and achieving project goals.
Skilled in documentation and management practices, ensuring organized and accessible record-keeping and workflow processes.
Motivated to contribute to community-level projects, promoting positive local impact and sustainable development.
Possession of a motorbike driving license, providing added flexibility and mobility for project-related travel.

Appointment Type: Full Time for one year with possibility of extension

Experience: Minimum 5 years of total experience out of which at least 2 years Building Construction works

Language required: English, Nepali and other local languages are preferable contextual to the Jajarkot and West Rukum

Other requirement: Two-wheeler license
