ROLE PURPOSE:

The Sr. Project Coordinator-MNCH is overall responsible for management of planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of MNCH activities in project in all three districts Banke, Mahottari, and Jajarkota and far-west and Eastern field office of Nepal. In addition, s/he will also be responsible for the management of the project in Banke district. The position holder will work in close collaboration with Regional Health Directorate (RHD), District Health Office (DHO) and Health Facilities (HFs) for effective and timely planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of planned activities. S/he will also support in government health system strengthening and national maternal and child health related programs. In addition, s/he will work as a budget holder of the project and manage logistics, finance and human resources under the project in respective district. S/he needs to manage partner NGOs in all three districts for the project implementation.
S/he will work in a team and represent the project at regional and district level forums, meetings and consultations on policy and technical issues related with projects as per project requirements. S/he will work with close technical and programmatic support from health and nutrition team of Field Office and Country Office. S/he will ensures the regular monitoring of related project activities, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for sharing of lessons learnt for consistent uptake by other stakeholders. Furthermore, s/he works in close coordination with other projects and team in the district and region. S/he will be fully responsible for the preparation of project level narrative reports and other donor requirements.
