About the organization

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH invites applications from suitable and qualified professionals for the Partnerships for Sustainable Trade (PST) programme. The GIZ global programme ‘Partnerships for Sustainable Trade’ focuses on implementing the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in different countries of the world. In this regard it works as an implementing arm under the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation. The Alliance is a multi-stakeholder and multi-donor initiative that mobilizes public- and private-sector expertise to reform customs and border processes worldwide. The objective is to make trade faster, more transparent, secure and less costly and ultimately contribute to economic growth.
The global programme has received EU co-funding to implement trade facilitation projects in LDCs. One of the selected countries is Nepal where two scoping missions were conducted to identify the support area in trade facilitation.
