Role Description

This is a contract Senior Network Tester role at Dobaato, located in Kathmandu with flexibility for remote work. The Senior Network Tester will be responsible for conducting network testing, identifying and resolving network issues, collaborating with the development team to ensure network compatibility, and documenting test results and procedures. This role involves ensuring the stability and performance of network systems and implementing appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+years Experience in network testing, network troubleshooting, and network performance optimization
• Knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Experience with network monitoring tools and software
• Certifications in network testing or related fields are a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Testing knowledge in VLAN, IPSEC, TCP offload, IPSec offload, NAT, Multicast, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP
• Configuring and testing of strongswan
• Network attack testing like ssh Bruteforce attack, ssh header corruption, SMURF, DDOS attack, HULK, Slowloris, Benign, Teardrop, Synflood
• Network performance and stress testing using iperf
• Familiar in network debugging tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, Nmap, Ping, Traceroute, etc.
• Understanding of firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs), and security best practice

Responsibilities

• Experience in NIC driver testing(linux based systems).
• Providing technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team.
• Review and Provide the feedback on architecture, design, and implementation approaches.
• Mentoring and coaching team members.
• Ensuring the quality and reliability of the product
• Creating and Implementing testing strategies, reviewing test plans and test cases.
• Conducting code reviews and ensuring compliance with coding standards.
• Evaluating and implementing new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Participating in hiring and onboarding new team members.
