Job Summary:
The Senior Software Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Software testing policies and procedures are effectively implemented using his/her technical, leadership and people skills. He/she organizes and plans work, and monitor staff performance. He/she oversees projects and supervises the day-to-day operations of his/her project team, making sure that everyone is pulling their weight, distributing the workload evenly and making sure motivation and performance levels are maintained. He/she is responsible for measuring and assisting for continuous improvement of quality of software testing practices.      

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out feasibility studies: Listing out software features, Attend knowledge sharing sessions on products
• Participate in Release Planning Meeting
• Participate in User Stories estimation
• Confirm feasibility of performing Definition of Done
• Provide guidance for test strategies, facilitate review meetings, and procure sign offs
• Oversee the progress done by each QA member of the project team
• Test Plan: Prepare / review and approve test plans for projects based on risk and complexity to ensure adequate test coverage 
• Test Items: Prepare / review and approve test items and / test scripts following test plan, test scenario and condition of satisfaction
• Test reports: Prepare /review and approve test reports
• Maintain documents and records as per Document & Record Control Procedure
• Provide leadership and guidance for identifying and implementing best testing practices, innovations, and tools
• Serve as the escalation point of contact for project team risks, issues, and status
• Build positive working relationships with development team, design team, support team and the business teams
• Verify that processes are being followed and that quality testing is being performed 
• Training : Train junior employees on different areas of testing (as required)
• Research & Development: Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies; research on products and tools 
• Actively contribute to develop and improve the corporate knowledge base (best practices, knowledge sharing across the whole organization)
• Work towards and implement best practice

Basic requirements:

• Education: Bachelor in Computer Science (BE/B TECH, BCA or equivalent); Master degree in Computer Science is a big plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated 4-6 years of hands-on experience in software testing; 
• Strong documentation skills: able to clearly report bugs and prepare test reports
• Experience with at least one programming languages
• Excellent knowledge of load and performance testing process, experience of using tools such as JMeter, Silk, Silk Performer, LoadRunner is also a plus
• Significant knowledge of software security and software performance tools and practices
• Understand the principles of the test methodologies and test environments
• Experience with web application security testing 
• Able to take ownership towards the overall development of the organization.
• Fluent in English
