Population Services International (PSI), a global nonprofit organization, is focused on the encouragement of healthy behavior and affordability of health products. PSI is committed to the principle that health services and products are most effective when they are accompanied by robust communications and distribution efforts that help ensure wide acceptance and proper use. PSI uses commercial marketing strategies to achieve this in the areas of malaria, family planning, HIV, diarrhea, pneumonia and sanitation. PSI/Nepal is partnering with the Government of Nepal, the private sector and local and international organizations in areas of nationally defined health priorities to create health solutions that are built to last. Its current portfolio includes family planning, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and hygiene and sanitation programs in support of the Government of Nepal.

Job Location: Kathmandu

Job Role: 

The Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for ensuring a sustainable supply of commodities and sustainable development of private sector health facilities in Nepal. S/he will strategically analyse the approaches taken by PSI/N in the context of Nepal’s operating environment, design/drive innovative and creative approaches to catalyzing sustainable product and service provision and ensure implementation in support of realizing the programs goals.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Master’s degree with specialization in Marketing or equivalent 
  • At least 7 years of experience in a senior commercial and/or social enterprise, sales or private sector markets role, preferably in Nepal 
  • Strong public relations, negotiation, customer service orientation and commercial acumen
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, including the private and commercial players, project partners, donors, private sector, NGOs, and government departments
  • Creative problem solving and incentivizing skills. Proven capacity and desire to travel at least 40% of the time throughout Nepal.
  • Able to fluently speak and write in both English and Nepali
