Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated IT & Security Engineer to manage all our software and IT administrative tasks. This role requires a senior professional who can independently ensure the robustness of our software and hardware while also being hands-on in managing day-to-day IT admin tasks. As we aim for future compliance with standards like SOC 2, the candidate should be prepared to lead our security efforts. This position is crucial for maintaining our technological integrity and supporting our users efficiently.

  • Location: Kathmandu (Onsite)
  • Time Zone: US Shift (EST + PST flexible)

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Administration & Support: Manage and maintain all company software and hardware, ensuring optimal performance and availability while handling all IT support requests, providing timely assistance to users.
  • Risk Management & Security Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and security audits, implement robust data privacy and security measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Access Control & Infrastructure Security: Manage access control systems and oversee the security of both physical facilities and IT infrastructure.
  • Incident Management & Recovery: Coordinate the organization’s response to security incidents and develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Security Policies & Awareness: Develop, update, and enforce security policies and lead security awareness programs to educate staff on best practices.
  • Vendor Security Management: Oversee the security aspects of vendor and third-party relationships, ensuring external services and products meet the organization’s security standards.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in hands-on IT roles, focusing on software and hardware management, IT support, and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
  • Proven experience in risk management, data privacy, access control, and incident response.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as JumpCloud, Okta, and Crowdstrike.
  • Ability to develop and enforce IT policies and procedures, including leading IT support and training programs.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and regulatory/compliance requirements like ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI, GDPR, and CCPA.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as AWS Certified, with a strong understanding of technology security and cyber-attack defenses.
