Job Description

We are looking for a Senior HR Officer to join our team!

You will support the design, development, and implementation of strategies to attract, engage, and develop talent—helping to build a high-performance team and culture. You will also oversee daily operational activities affecting human resources.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and serve as a key point of contact for employees regarding talent management, culture, and HR processes.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

1. Facilitate Recruitment Processes

  • Manage job postings on various channels.
  • Screen and shortlist candidates.
  • Participate in interviews using competency-based, behavioral, and situational methods.
  • Conduct reference checks, propose job offers, and prepare employment documents.

2. Onboarding New Hires

  • Conduct and coordinate onboarding sessions.
  • Ensure new hires understand core values, company policies, procedures, and operations.

3. Oversee Exit/Separation Processes

  • Execute exit procedures in compliance with policies, procedures, and labor law.
  • Gather feedback to improve retention and organizational culture.

4. Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Handle staff grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with Nepal Labor Law and company HR policies.
  • Track legal changes (labor law, taxation, SSF, insurance) and propose revisions to HR policies where necessary.

5. HR Documentation & Policy Management

  • Assist in preparing and updating the employee handbook, policy manuals, contracts, and retention strategies.
  • Ensure all documents are well-maintained and compliant with legal standards.

6. Performance Management & Development

  • Coordinate annual performance reviews, ensuring fair evaluations that support skill growth, high performance, and career development.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement training or upskilling programs.

7. Payroll Administration

  • Administer payroll using HR software, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations and timely disbursements.

8. Staff Engagement & Culture

  • Organize staff engagement activities to promote a positive work environment.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining processes and documentation related to talent management.

How Qualified Should You Be?

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree (in Human Resources, Business, or a related field).
  • 3+ years of work experience in HR, with proven expertise in recruitment, employee relations, or HR operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactiveness.
  • Strong understanding of Nepalese Labor Law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy, tact, and people skills.
  • Patience, self-motivation, and solid work ethics.
  • Strong negotiation, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be fluent in English and Nepali.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A team player with a problem-solving aptitude.
  • Familiarity with HR software.
  • Keen to stay updated with best HR practices.

Salary Range

  • NPR 50,000 – 70,000 (Cost to Company)
