ROLE PURPOSE:
The Sr. Grants and Finance Coordinator will have prime responsibility to ensure functional effective and efficient accounting system and timely provision of reports from FOs and Partners and to HO & Donor specially for Global Fund. S/he is responsible for payroll and cost proposal including budgeting. will have S/he is also responsible for reviewing/monitoring field office and partners reports and prepare monthly FAS. The position holder requires to make frequent field visits (approximately 30% of total time) to ensure field based staff and SRs are have adequate support to meet and maintain compliance requirement
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Ensure that the financial management systems including books of accounts, accurate coding & structure and other financial records are maintained and updated according to the prescribed standards.
- Final review of the financial reports of SRs and finalize the FAS of partners on monthly basis.
- Closely work in Agresso data review, analysis and prepare the PU/DR, Quarterly Cash Reports & EFR and submit to Grants & Finance Manager for final review before the submission to HO/donor.
- Prepare the monthly analysis of Budget vs. Actual (BvA) Variances.
- Prepare the monthly payroll and make the payment by 25th of each month.
- Involve in cost proposal and budgeting of the Global Fund program.
- Ensure sufficient fund management to run overall Program/Operations including partner.
- Responsible for making accurate payments to suppliers, consultants and other external parties
- Maintain and update all the relevant books of accounts regularly so that financial information is available at any time.
- Contribute in the annual and periodic budgeting and preparing the estimates. Submit monthly fund reconciliation statement within set time and format.
- Prepare documents for audit (internal, external, HO), review and produce reports as required by Grant & Finance Manager.
- Adhere the organizational policy, procedures, donors’ requirement & local laws.
- Contribute in building regional/partner staff’s and organizational capacities in finance and administration through training and coaching as per the need.
- Provide necessary support to the field offices in account keeping and smooth implementation of financial rules.
- Supporting Save the Children dual mandate of development programs as well as being the leader in Emergency preparedness and response for children
Occasional Significant Duties
- Prepare necessary financial reports.
- Represent meeting/workshop.
- Day to day support to GF Team as per requirement/need.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required (MBA/CA/ACCA preferred).
- 3 years (2 years for GSI group) budgeting/accounting/finance experience with Global Fund as a donor required (at least 3 years with INGO overseeing multi-million dollar programs).
- Knowledge of GFATM financial policies, guidelines and SOPs.
- Strong budgeting/accounting/finance skills.
- Computer fluency; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and accounting software Agresso is a must.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Willingness to work the time necessary to complete critical tasks without being asked.
