Job Description:

As a Senior Admission Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the student admission process, managing inquiries, and providing guidance to prospective students. Your role will involve handling various aspects of student enrollment, managing a team, and fostering collaborations with college and stakeholders. This position offers a clear career progression path towards becoming Nepal's Admission Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Inquiry Management: Efficiently handle student inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Provide accurate and timely information about courses, admission requirements, and application procedures.
  • Admission Process Oversight: Coordinate and oversee the student admission process, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Review applications, assess eligibility, and facilitate admissions decisions.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of admission staff and receptionists. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members deliver exceptional service and achieve performance targets.
  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, onboard, and train new staff members, including receptionists and admission assistants. Develop training programs and resources to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Collaboration and Networking: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleges, universities, educational institutions, and other stakeholders. Collaborate on recruitment initiatives, joint programs, and promotional activities.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, applications, and admissions. Utilize our own CRM systems to track and analyze admission trends, demographics, and outcomes.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of admission strategies, marketing campaigns, and outreach initiatives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.

What your typical day would look like

As the Senior Admission Advisor at WiseAdmit in Chitwan, your day starts with a lively 9 AM team huddle, buzzing with ideas. You dive into handling student inquiries—phones, emails, and face-to-face chats—all while guiding prospective students through the admission maze.

By mid-morning, you’re busy reviewing applications and coordinating with your team to keep everything running smoothly. Lunchtime often means connecting with local college reps over delicious Nepali food, brainstorming collaboration ideas and new recruitment strategies.

In the afternoon, you lead your team with enthusiasm, offering guidance and support, and also focus on hiring and training new staff. You manage records and analyze trends to refine your strategies. The day ends at 5 PM, but you might still be catching up on emails or planning events from home.

Your role is a dynamic mix of leadership and teamwork, with the satisfaction of making a real difference in students’ lives.

Qualification

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in admissions, education counseling, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in managing student admissions and handling inquiries effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and strategic planning.
