Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounting and financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing or dairy industries, sound knowledge of taxation and VAT, and the ability to independently handle accounting functions while leading and coordinating the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
Prepare and review financial statements, ledgers, reconciliations, and accounting reports.
Handle VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory tax-related requirements.
Ensure timely tax filings, compliance, and documentation as per applicable regulations.
Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and payments.
Manage inventory and cost accounting, particularly in a manufacturing/dairy environment.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax authorities, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Prepare budgets, cash-flow reports, management reports, and other financial analyses as required.
Monitor financial controls and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
Supervise, guide, and lead the accounts/finance team and delegate responsibilities effectively.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial and operational processes.
Support management with financial information and accounting-related decision-making.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the manufacturing or dairy industry.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field; professional accounting qualifications will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Nepalese taxation, VAT, TDS, and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Busy, Tally, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with inventory, costing, payroll, budgeting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of Nepali accounting practices and financial documentation.
Excellent Nepali and English typing and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
Ability to lead, supervise, and manage an accounts/finance team.
High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities.
