Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis.This position is intended for an individual professional only. We are not seeking tax consultants, accounting service providers, or tax consultancy/accounting firms for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow) in accordance with NFRS (Nepal Financial Reporting Standards).
Conduct monthly bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

Manage all VAT (Value Added Tax) and TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) filings via the IRD (Inland Revenue Department) portal.
Ensure timely payment of Income Tax installments and handle annual tax returns.
Handle company secretarial tasks such as OCR (Office of the Company Registrar) renewals and document filings.

Operational Accounting

Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
Manage Payroll processing
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and calculate depreciation.

Supervision & Coordination

Performing daily work such as verifying, reconciling and rectifying vendor payable transactions
Accurately perform vendor statement reconciliations
Process payments and disbursements within approved payment terms
Account reconciliations such as bank, vendor transactions and inventory control, etc

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 6 years

Other Specification

MBS, CA/ICAN, or relevant professional accounting qualification preferred.
Minimum 6 years of total accounting experience, with at least 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Good command of accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities within limited working hours.
Experience in the hospitality or trekking industry will be an added advantage.

Note : Duty Hours: Up to 4.5 hours per day, 5 days a week.
