Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance with Nepalese accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts and reconciliation of financial records.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with Nepalese tax regulations, VAT, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
Review and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial policies.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for cost control and operational efficiency.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring high levels of accuracy and productivity.
Maintain fixed asset records and oversee inventory accounting for retail and manufacturing operations.
Support management with financial analysis, profitability reports, and strategic business decisions.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CA Intermediate, ACCA, CPA, or Master's degree in Finance/Accounting will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Strong knowledge of Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS), taxation, VAT, and statutory compliance.
Experience in retail, manufacturing, apparel, or FMCG industries is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
