Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support management with accurate financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain project-wise accounting records and prepare periodic financial statements in compliance with NAS/ NFRS.
Monitor construction project budgets, analyze cost variances, and assist CFO in preparation of project profitability reports.
Verify and process contractor, subcontractor, supplier, and material procurement bills and ensure timely payments.
Manage project cash flows, bank reconciliations, and fund requirements for ongoing construction activities.
Prepare and file VAT, TDS, income tax returns, and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Maintain records of mobilization advances, retention money and work-in-progress.
Review project expenses, labor costs, and overhead allocations to ensure accurate project costing and cost control.
Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, auditors, and government authorities on financial and contractual matters.
Assist in preparation of budgets, financial reports, MIS reports and during statutory audits.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the CFO.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Required Age:More than 26 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (MBA preferred).
At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
Knowledge of NAS/NFRS and Nepal tax laws.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Proficient in Excel and reporting skills.
Experience in VAT, TDS, and income tax filing.
Familiarity with bank reconciliation and cash flow management.
Ability to handle audits and financial compliance.
Strong analytical, communication, and supervisory skills.
